Why now

The winter sun sits low

In the winter, the sun stays low in the sky. It shines straight into your windows, right into your eyes and onto your TV. Tint cuts that glare down. And the sun's UV rays don't stop in the winter, so your floors and furniture keep fading all year.

What it does

Four reasons to tint

01

Less glare

See your TV and computer screen without closing the blinds.

02

Less heat

Rooms that face the sun stay cooler in the summer.

03

UV protection

Blocks most of the sun's UV rays, which helps slow fading on floors, rugs and furniture.

04

Daytime privacy

Makes it harder to see in during the day, while you can still see out.

Know what you're buying

Store film vs. a pro install

You can buy a roll of window film at the hardware store. Here's why most people end up calling a pro.

Film from the store

  • Thin film off a roll
  • Bubbles, creases and peeling edges are common
  • Hard to cut clean around the window frame
  • No one to call if it goes wrong

A pro install from us

  • Pro film, cut clean to each piece of glass
  • Put on smooth, with no bubbles
  • Done by people who install tint every day
  • A local shop you can call

We don't sell film or kits. This page is for people who want it put in by a pro.

Is it right for you?

Who home tint is for

A great fit if

  • A room gets too hot or too bright
  • The sun is fading your floors or furniture
  • You're tired of keeping the blinds shut all day
  • You want it done right the first time

Probably not for you if

  • You want to buy film and put it up yourself. We don't sell film.
  • You want the cheapest job in town
  • You need your car tinted. That's on our car tint page.

Questions

Home tint FAQ

How much does home window tint cost?

It depends on how many windows you have, how big they are and which tint you pick. Every home is different, so we give you a free quote first.

Will tint make my house dark?

It doesn't have to. Home tint comes in different shades, from dark to very light. We'll help you pick one that fits your rooms.

Can people see in at night?

Yes, once your lights are on inside. Tint gives you privacy during the day. At night you'll still want blinds or curtains.

Do you sell film I can put up myself?

No. We only do pro installs. If you want a roll of film from the store, we're not the right fit.

Why tint in the winter?

The winter sun sits low, so it shines right into your windows and causes glare. The sun's UV rays also keep fading floors and furniture all year long.

Do you tint cars too?

Yes. Car tint is what most people know us for. Our car tint page has the details.
